KiwiScan: the OMR scanner app that grades bubble sheets with your phone
KiwiScan is an OMR (optical mark recognition) answer-sheet scanner for teachers, schools, and coaching centres in India. Create an exam with its answer key and marking scheme, print the matching A4 bubble sheet, and scan filled sheets with the phone camera. Each sheet is read and graded on the device in about a second — no OMR machine, no internet, no retyping marks into Excel.

How KiwiScan works for a class test
Create the exam: number of questions, options per question, marks for correct, negative marks for wrong, and the answer key.
Generate and print the OMR sheet PDF with corner markers and a roll-number block. Plain A4 from any printer or photocopier.
Scan sheets one after another in batch mode. Detected marks are overlaid on the sheet; double or blank marks are flagged for a quick check.
Open the results table — score, rank, per-question analysis — and export CSV or Excel, or share the summary.
Key features of the KiwiScan OMR app
On-device OpenCV scanning that works fully offline in the exam hall or staff room.
Tilt, perspective, and lighting correction for real classroom photos.
Per-exam marking schemes with positive, negative, and unattempted marks; subject or section-wise totals.
Batch scanning with automatic roll-number matching to students.
Results, ranks, and per-question statistics with CSV/Excel export.
Optional sync with a KiwiTeach account so papers made in Test Studio carry their keys into KiwiScan.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a special OMR machine?
No. KiwiScan replaces the dedicated scanner with your phone camera and ordinary printed sheets.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. Scanning and grading run on the device; cloud sync is optional and happens later.
Which platforms are supported?
KiwiScan is built with Flutter and ships for Android first, with iOS and Windows builds from the same codebase.
